Privacy Policy — Wedding Seating Chart Planner

This policy describes how the Android app Wedding Seating Chart Planner handles information. It is written to match what the app actually does, which is very little.

The short version

The app collects nothing. Everything you type stays on your phone. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, and no advertising. The app itself never sends your guest list, or anything else you enter, anywhere.

What the app stores on your device

When you use the app, the following is written to storage that belongs to the app and is private to it:

Guest names, dietary notes and similar details are information about other people. They are stored only on your device, and it is your responsibility to have a reasonable basis for recording them — which, for planning where your own guests will sit, you plainly do.

What the app does not do

Files you export

The app can produce a seating chart PDF, a place-card PDF, a guest-list CSV and a complete JSON export of everything it holds. These are written to the app's private cache and then handed to Android's share sheet so you can choose where they go — email, a cloud drive, a printer, a messaging app, wherever.

Once you send a file somewhere, this policy no longer covers it: the privacy policy of whatever service you chose does. The app's own cache of exports is cleared each time a new export is made.

Payments

The optional Pro unlock is a one-time purchase of USD 6.99 handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see or receive your payment details. The app receives only a yes/no answer from Google Play about whether the unlock has been purchased, and stores that answer locally so the app behaves correctly offline.

Google's handling of the transaction is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

In-app review

After you export your first seating chart, the app may ask Google Play to show its standard review dialog, once. That dialog is Google Play's, not ours; we are not told whether you reviewed the app, what rating you gave, or whether the dialog appeared at all.

Backups

If you have Android's cloud backup switched on for your device, Android may include this app's database in your device backup. That backup is between you and your device's backup provider (typically Google), encrypted under your device credentials, and governed by their policy. You can exclude the app from backup in your Android settings.

Your control over your data

Because nothing is ever sent to us, there is no copy held anywhere for us to return or delete on request — the two buttons above are the whole of it.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone. It is rated suitable for all ages.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app changes what it stores or starts transmitting anything, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the "last updated" date above will change.
