Privacy Policy — Pet Care Tracker

Pet Care Tracker ("the app") is published by Veltis Labs LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does with your information. It is short because the app does very little with it.

The short version

Nothing you enter leaves your phone. The app has no account and no server of ours. Everything you enter is stored on your phone and is never sent to us or anyone else. The app makes no network requests of its own. The one exception is Google Play's billing library, which sends Google its own diagnostic logs (see "Purchases"). If you have Android's own backup switched on, your records are also backed up to your own Google account (see "Backup to your own Google account" below).

What the app stores, and where

When you use Pet Care Tracker you may enter:

• Pet details — name, species, breed, date of birth, notes
• Photos you choose for a pet
• Care tasks — feeding, walks, medication, vaccinations, vet visits, grooming, litter changes and your own custom entries, with their dates and repeat rules
• A log of what you marked as done, and when
• Weight entries
• App settings — units, theme, reminder preferences

All of it is written to the app's private storage on your device. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else. We never see it, and we have no way to retrieve it.

About the internet permission

The app's installed permissions include internet access. To be precise about why: Pet Care Tracker itself never opens a network connection, and none of your pet records are ever transmitted. The permission is added automatically by Google Play Billing, the library that processes the optional Pro purchase, so that it can reach Google Play. It cannot be removed from an app that offers an in-app purchase.

Your pet data is not sent anywhere by that library or by us.

Photos

When you add a photo, the app uses the Android Photo Picker. You pick one image; the app receives only that image and has no access to the rest of your gallery. The app does not request photo or storage permissions.

The picked image is copied into the app's private storage so it still displays after a restart. That copy stays on your device, is not readable by other apps, and is removed when you delete the pet or use "Delete all data".

Notifications

If you turn reminders on, the app asks permission to show notifications and schedules them locally on your device. Reminder content is generated on the phone from the tasks you created. Nothing is sent anywhere to produce a reminder, and denying the permission leaves every other feature working.

Sharing a care plan with a caretaker

The Pro "share with a caretaker" feature creates a QR code or a file containing one pet's care plan. You choose who receives it, through your device's own share sheet or by showing the code. The transfer happens directly between devices. There is no server involved, we never receive a copy, and the app does not upload anything.

Once you hand that file or code to another person, what they do with it is outside our control — so only share it with someone you intend to give those records to.

Purchases

Pet Care Tracker Pro is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see or handle your payment details. The app asks Google Play whether your account owns the Pro product and stores only a yes/no answer on your device.

The billing library also sends Google its own diagnostic logs: whether its calls to Google Play succeeded, and when the connection to Google Play failed. It does this even if you never buy anything. The logs contain nothing you type and nothing about your pets. They go to Google rather than to us, we never see them, and we cannot delete them. Google's privacy policy covers them and the rest of your purchase.

Advertising and analytics

This version of the app contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK and no crash-reporting SDK. No advertising identifier is read. No usage data is collected or profiled. The only thing that leaves the device is the billing library's diagnostic logs described under "Purchases".

If we ever introduce advertising, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the Play listing's Data safety section will be updated with it.

Children

The app is suitable for general audiences and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.

Backup to your own Google account

Android's built-in Auto Backup is enabled for this app, so your pet records and photos can be restored when you set up a new phone. That backup is made by Android, is stored in your own Google account, and is subject to Google's privacy policy. We have no access to it.

Two things are deliberately excluded from that backup: the app's settings file (which caches whether you have bought Pro - entitlement is always re-checked with Google Play instead) and the temporary folder used when you export or share a file.

You can turn Android backup off for this app at any time in your device settings, under Google > Backup.

Your control over your data

• Export — Settings → "Export all my data (JSON)" or "Export care log (CSV)" writes a complete copy to a location you choose.
• Delete — Settings → "Delete all data" permanently erases every pet, task, log entry, weight, photo and setting on the device.
• Uninstall — removing the app removes its data with it.

Because we hold nothing, there is no request to send us and nothing for us to delete on your behalf. Your rights under the GDPR, the CCPA and similar laws — access, correction, deletion, portability — are satisfied directly in the app.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above changes with it, and a revised version is published at https://apps.digitalshijil.com/pet-care-tracker/privacy/ before the new app version is released.
