Envelope Budget: Privacy Policy

The short version

• Your budget stays on your phone. There is no account, no sign-in, no cloud sync and no server of ours.
• The app never connects to a bank, never reads SMS or notifications, and has no ads and no analytics.
• One thing is collected, by Google, not by us: App info and performance > Diagnostics: collected, not shared, required. The Google Play Billing library sends diagnostics to Google when the app checks or makes a purchase.
• Delete all data removes everything the app stored on your phone.

What the app stores, and where

Everything you enter is stored only on your phone, in the app's private storage: budgets and how you are paid, envelopes and their plans, income, purchases, payees, notes, transfers, account names and balances you type, recurring transactions and your settings. We, DIGITAL SHIJIL LLC, never receive any of it. The app's own code makes no network request.

Purchases (Google Play)

Envelope Budget Pro is sold through Google Play. Google processes the payment; the app never sees your card or payment details. To know whether Pro is unlocked, the app asks Google Play which products your Google account owns. The Google Play Billing library sends diagnostics about that connection to Google (App info and performance > Diagnostics: collected, not shared, required). App lock

If you turn on the optional app lock, Android asks for your fingerprint, face or screen lock. The check happens inside Android; the app is only told whether it succeeded and never receives any biometric data.

Sharing, exports and imports

A budget file, a spreadsheet (CSV) or a full export leaves your phone only when you choose to send or save it, through Android's file picker or share sheet, to a place or person you pick. Whoever receives it can read the budget it contains. Importing a file reads only the file you pick.

Backups

If your phone's own Android backup is on, the app's budget database and settings are included in that backup, stored by Google under your Google account like other apps' data. You can turn this off in your phone's settings. The app has no backup server of its own.

Deleting your data

More > Delete all data removes every budget, envelope, transaction and setting from your phone and returns the app to how it was when installed. Uninstalling the app does the same. A Pro purchase stays with your Google account and comes back when you reinstall.

Children

Envelope Budget is intended for adults (18 and over) and is not directed at children.

Envelope Budget is a budgeting record-keeping tool. It does not give financial advice and does not offer loans, credit, banking, payments, investments or crypto.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published at the address above with a new effective date, and the app's listing is updated to match.
