Privacy Policy for Chore Chart for Kids & Family

Chore Chart for Kids & Family ("the app") is published by Veltis Labs LLC ("we"). This policy explains what the app does with information. The short version: the app has no account, no ads and no analytics, and nothing you put into it is sent to us or to anyone else.

What the app stores, and where

The app stores the following only on your phone, in the app's private storage:

• People in your household: a first name or nickname, a chosen picture (an emoji, or a photo you pick), a colour, whether they are a parent, and an optional daily reminder time.
• Children's first names and chore history: which chores each person did, on which days, whether a parent approved them, and the points and rewards that followed.
• Chores and rewards you create, and settings such as your household name, the day your week starts, pocket-money settings, and a salted, hashed copy of your parent PIN (never the PIN itself).
• Photos you choose as proof of a chore or as a profile picture. They are copied into the app's private storage at a reduced size.

This information is never transmitted to us or to any third party. We have no server that could receive it.

Children

The app is a tool for parents. Children may view their own chore list on a parent's phone, under the parent's supervision. The app does not create accounts for children, does not collect personal information from children, and does not transmit any information about children off the device. A child's first name and chore history exist only on the phone they were entered on, and are removed by "Delete all data".

Permissions

• Notifications, only if you turn on a reminder, to show a daily list of chores on this phone.
• Camera, only if you tap "Scan a code" to bring in a household from another phone. Camera frames are decoded on the phone to read the code and are never saved or sent anywhere.
• Run at startup, so reminders continue after the phone restarts.
• Photos are chosen through Android's photo picker, which gives the app only the photos you select. The app has no access to your photo library.
• Google Play's billing and review libraries add internet access. The app itself makes no network requests.

Sharing a household between phones

You can send your household setup (people, chores and rewards) to another phone as a file or a QR code. This happens only when you choose to, by the method you choose. Points and history are not included.

Purchases

Pro is sold through Google Play. Google processes the payment under Google's privacy policy. We receive no payment details and no personal information from the purchase; the app only learns from Google Play whether Pro is owned on your Google account.

Backups

If Android backup is switched on for your phone, Android may include this app's household data in your own Google account backup so it can be restored on a new phone. That backup belongs to you and is not accessible to us. Proof photos are not included in backups.

Your control over your data

• Export all my data (Settings) saves everything the app holds, including history, as a file you choose where to keep.
• Delete all data (Settings) removes every person, chore, point, reward, photo, setting and reminder from the app on this phone. It cannot be undone.
• Uninstalling the app also removes its data from the phone.

Advertising and analytics

The app contains no advertising, no advertising identifiers, no analytics and no crash-reporting services.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new date.
