Privacy Policy — Time Card & Work Hours

This policy covers the Android app Time Card & Work Hours, published by DIGITAL SHIJIL LLC ("we"). It is published at https://apps.digitalshijil.com/time-card/privacy/
The short version
Your jobs, pay rates, shifts, breaks, notes and pay amounts stay on your phone. We have no account system, no server and no analytics, and we never see your data.
What the app stores, and where
- On your phone only: the jobs you set up (name, colour, currency, hourly rates and the dates they apply from, pay-period, overtime, break and rounding rules), your shifts (clock-in and clock-out times with their time zone, breaks, optional notes and tags), the pay amounts you type in to compare, and your settings.
- Not stored anywhere: your location. The app has no location permission and never clocks you in by place.
- Android backup: if you have Android's own backup turned on, Android may include the app's database and settings in your Google account backup, as it does for other apps. You can turn this off in your phone's settings. The Pro purchase record is excluded from backups.
Network access
The app removes the internet permission from its own manifest: it cannot open a network connection, and it sends nothing to us or to anyone else. A build check fails if a library ever adds the permission back.
Google Play billing diagnostics
The optional one-time Pro unlock is sold through Google Play. Google Play's billing library, included in the app to handle that purchase, can record diagnostic logs about purchase calls (for example, that the connection to the Play Store failed). Following Google's guidance that a library's data handling counts as the app's, we disclose this in the Data safety section as App info and performance → Diagnostics: collected, not shared, required. We do not receive these logs. Payment itself is handled entirely by Google Play under Google's privacy policy; we never see your card or payment details.
What the app does not do
- No accounts, no sign-in, no ads, no advertising ID, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
- No tax calculations and no payroll, legal or tax advice. Figures are gross pay from the hours and rates you enter, for your own records. For personal record-keeping. Not an official document.
- No access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or files, except a file you choose yourself in the system file picker when you export a timesheet or backup, or restore one.
Notifications
If you turn on the clock-out reminder, the app asks for permission to show notifications. The reminder is scheduled on your phone; nothing is sent anywhere.
Your control over your data
- Export all my data (Settings) saves everything as one JSON file where you choose.
- Delete all data (Settings) removes every job, shift, rate and setting from the phone.
- Uninstalling the app deletes its data from the phone.
Children
The app is meant for adults tracking their own work hours and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at the address above with a new date.
