Battery Widget & Status Bar: Privacy Policy
Effective 26 September 2026. Published by DIGITAL SHIJIL LLC (Digital Shijil LLC). Canonical address of this policy: https://apps.digitalshijil.com/battery-widget/privacy/
The short version
Battery Widget & Status Bar has no account, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no server of its own. What you set up in the app stays on your phone. The only data that leaves the device is the diagnostic logging that Google Play's billing library sends to Google, described below.
What the app reads
- Battery state, as Android reports it: charge level, charging state, power source, temperature, voltage, health and battery technology. It is read on the phone to draw your widgets, the status-bar icon and the Battery screen, and to decide whether an alert you switched on should go off. It is never sent anywhere, and no history of it is kept.
What the app stores on your phone
- The look of each widget and of each design (colours, transparency, corners, font and similar).
- Your settings: temperature unit, the status-bar icon, and the alerts you switched on and their levels.
- A note that the review prompt was shown, and a note of which alerts have already gone off, so they are not repeated.
- A cached hint of whether Pro is unlocked. Google Play remains the source of truth and is asked again each time you open the app.
Android's own backup may copy your looks and settings to your Google account if you have backups turned on. The Pro hint and the alert notes are excluded from backups.
What leaves your phone
- Google Play Billing diagnostics. The app uses Google Play Billing Library to sell the one-time Pro unlock. That library sends Google diagnostic logs about its own operation, such as whether a billing call succeeded or failed. They contain nothing you write or set up in the app. Google handles them under the Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Purchases. If you buy Pro, Google Play processes the payment. The publisher never receives your card or payment details.
Nothing else is sent: no location, no contacts, no files, no device identifiers, no usage analytics and no crash reports. The app has no advertising.
Permissions
- Notifications, asked for only when you switch on the status-bar icon or an alert. If you decline, the widgets keep working.
- Permissions added automatically by Android libraries the app uses: network access (Play Billing), and start-at-boot and wake lock (Android's WorkManager, used to refresh widgets after a restart).
The app has no foreground service, does not draw over other apps and uses no accessibility service.
Your choices
- Export all my data (Settings) saves everything the app stores as a JSON file where you choose.
- Delete all data (Settings) erases it from this phone and returns the app to a fresh install. Widgets already on your home screen stay until you remove them, in the default look.
- Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored on the phone.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at the address above with a new effective date.
