Barload — Privacy Policy

Effective: 24 September 2026 · App: Barload (com.digitalshijil.barload) for Android and Wear OS · Publisher: Digital Shijil LLC · Contact: contact@digitalshijil.com

The short version

Barload keeps your training and food log on your phone. There is no account, nothing you log is uploaded, and Barload adds no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting service of its own.

A few things reach the internet, only when you use the feature that needs them: food lookups, a one-time download for Form check, and diagnostics that two Google components send to Google when the barcode scanner or Form check is used. They are listed below, and that list is complete.

What Barload stores, and where

Everything you log lives in a database on your device: workouts, sets, weights, personal records, body weight and tape measurements, progress photos, food entries, and your settings.

None of it is uploaded. Progress photos never leave the device: they are written to Barload's own private storage and cannot be read by other apps.

What leaves the device

Food lookups. Searching for a food, or scanning a barcode, sends that search text or barcode to one of two public food databases:

What is sent is only the text you typed or the barcode you scanned. What is not sent: who you are, what you ate, your weight, your training, or any identifier.

Form check model. The first time you open Form check, the app downloads its pose model from storage.googleapis.com. No personal data is attached to that request.

Diagnostics sent to Google by Google components. Two features are built with Google's on-device machine-learning libraries, and those libraries send Google information about how they are working:

The camera images themselves are processed on your phone and are not sent by either component. Barload receives none of this data, and it is not linked to anything you log. Google handles it under Google's Privacy Policy.

Purchases. Barload sells nothing in this version. If a paid option is added later, Google Play will handle the payment; Barload never sees card details, and Google's own privacy policy covers that transaction.

There is no advertising identifier, no ads SDK and no third-party tracker in the app.

Health Connect

If you choose to grant permission, Barload can read from and write to Health Connect on your device:

This exchange stays on your phone. Barload does not transmit anything it reads from Health Connect, does not use it for advertising, and does not sell or share it. The permission is optional; the app works without it, and you can withdraw access at any time in Health Connect's settings.

Notifications

Barload asks for notification permission only while a workout is running, and only when you tap to turn it on. Notifications show the rest timer on the lock screen and alert you when a rest ends. Refusing costs you that card and nothing else.

Cloud features

This version has no account, no cloud sync, and no online coaching. If any of these are added in a future version, this policy will be updated before that version is released.

Children

Barload is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. It collects nothing that would identify anyone.
